Edwardian Plafonnier Chandelier with Droplets – TH169

Edwardian Plafonnier Chandelier with Droplets - TH169

This is a magnificent bowl chandelier in cut glass.  Unusually it is ringed with drumstick droplets.  It has its original heavily beaded chains and a glass-clad shackle at the top.  I cannot stress enough how rare this is to have survived in its entirety  for 100 years.  It is all finished with a faceted ball underneath the dish and has a single bulb.

There is the usual damage associated with glass, nibbles etc and the top piece of glass has a chunk out of it but you cannot see this from the floor.  I have left it as it’s original.

Diameter – 14″ x Drop – 32″ (the shortest it will go to a ceiling with its present ceiling hook and chain)
