*SOLD* Large Victorian cut glass lustre

Large Victorian cut glass lustre

This is a most beautiful, large cut glass lustre dating from around 1870.

The body and base is completely facet cut and the top is cut in a saw tooth pattern and feels sharp to the touch (as all the best old cutting should).

The base is dressed with ten back-cut Albert droplets which each measure 7.5″ long (excluding button).

The overall height is 12.5″.

This is a very old piece of glass and there are some flea bites to the main body of the lustre and some of the droplets have small chips.  One of the droplets has a chip at the top which is more noticeable but can obviously be turned so it’s facing away.

I am saying this just so you are aware and I’m making it sound much worse than it is.  In no way does it detract from how lovely this wonderful piece of glass is.

6″ diameter x 12.5″ high.
