*SOLD* Wonderful cut glass Georgian candlestick

Wonderful cut class Georgian candlestick

This is a very interesting Georgian candlestick as it marks the transition between ‘Adam’ style cutting and the more rectilinear shape and cutting of later styles.

The Van Dyke pan and nozzle marks the swan song of an earlier age and the very heavy lemon squeezer base means it’s a very sturdy piece.

The droplets are a primative icicle with a gilt brass ball cap. This style of droplet marks the beginiing of the Regency era and are extrememly unusual to be found intact.

Approx 5″ diameter x 10″ high.
